Anti-Portfolio | The big learning was to never underestimate the entrepreneur’s resilience: Harsh Shah Co-founder, Fynd

I had known Prabhkiran Singh from my days at IIT Bombay where both of us attended our engineering degrees. He had started Khadke Glassi, a naturally-flavoured, ice cream-laced Punjabi lassi stall outside the campus. After graduating and shutting down Khadke Glassi, Singh and his friend Siddharth Munot started Bewakoof in the year 2012, a lifestyle fashion brand that makes creative, distinctive fashion for the trendy, contemporary Indian. The fiscal discipline and honesty of purpose, along with a stubborn attitude, have shown how wrong I was. The big learning from this was to never underestimate the entrepreneur’s resilience, irrespective of prior experience in the field and, more so, showed that in the market of asset-light business, you can build a differentiated brand that customers love, if you have fiscal discipline.
